چکیده [English]

Thus the aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of FIFA 11+ Warm-Up Program in reducing the rate of sport injury in young male soccer players. Thirty five teams from youth league of Iran participated in this study. Teams were randomized to an intervention or a control group. Teams in the intervention group performed the +11 at least twice in week as warm up prior training throughout the season. All participants of the control group continued their practice sessions as usual. All soccer-related injuries and player exposure to practice sessions and matches was reported weekly by the coaches and medical staff. During season, we recorded 1220 soccer related injuries. Poisson distribution showed that the overall injury rate in the training group (14.1 injuries/1000 player-hours) was significantly lower than overall injury rate in the control group (24.3 injuries/1000 h), (P<0.05), (RR= 0.58).
