[English]

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain that there are many treatment methods for it. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of 8 week aquatic exercise in patient with plantar fasciitis.
45 participant with plantar fasciitis were recruited. Participants allocated in 2 groups, exercise (n=30) and control (n=15). The training program consisted of 8 weeks (average 53 min, 3 days) progressive aquatic training involving plantar fascia & calf muscle stretching, and intrinsic foot muscles strengthening. Evaluated variable including Pain in the morning were measured in both groups. The data were analyzed using independent and dependent T-test at threshold of 0.05. in the experimental group patient, pain in the morning showed a significant difference end of 8 weeks. Furthermore, the difference was significant compared with the control group. So, 8 weeks progressive aquatic exercise reduces pain in the morning of patients with plantar fasciitis.
