Abstract
Physical activity effects not only on the cardiovascular system and metabolic, also it can lead to certain improvements, particularly in strengthening the muscles of patients with hemophilia. Approximately 50% of adolescents with chronic diseases do not fully care recommendations. The aim of this study was to determine the status of physical activity and sports among adolescents with hemophilia in Iran. In this descriptive -analytical research with convenience sampling method were examined the physical activities among 108 adolescents with hemophilia. The researcher making questionnaire was used to evaluate physical activities in the adolescents with hemophilia as self-report. Statistical analysis was performed using the frequency, mean and standard deviation in the SPSS (version 13). 65.4% of the participants in this study did not participate in the physical activities. 70.5% of the young people were devoted to physical activity and sport for 5 hours or less per week. Only 31.3% of the adolescents believed that their selected exercise perfectly suited with their age and disease. 56.1% of the participants in this study weren't informed about threatening bleeding and also 22.4% of the young people haven't informed about sports with probability of bleeding and damage. The adolescents' performance in this study wasn’t put in suitable place in many physical activities and sports-related fields. There is a need to improve the status of people with hemophilia in the many areas related to physical activity and sport that considering the systematic and consistent planning can be useful in regarding to provide the necessary training and utilization of hemophilia centers' related institutions providing sports services.
