Abstract

Sports injuries are one of the dangers that Mountaineer always face, and by identifying them, we can provide a suitable solution to prevent and reduce the risk of these injuries. The purpose of this study is to investigate the injuries of Mountaineering sports prospectively in men and women. In this research, 200 athletes were studied weekly in a 12-week period using the prospective questionnaire of Oslo health problems. In this descriptive-analytical research, the highest prevalence of injuries in female and male Mountaineer was 19% and 10% in the knee, then the ankle, and then the lumbar spine in women and the shoulder in men. According to the number of days lost, the severity of the injury reached 45 in women and 38 in men. Also, in examining the causes of injuries, there were 27 and 26 acute injuries and 13 and 11 overuse injuries in women and men, respectively. According to the findings and the possible risks of sports injuries for male and female Mountaineer, special focus should be made to prevent the reduction of injuries and complaints of Mountaineer, before these injuries become chronic, especially in women who engage in mountain Mountaineer every week. And the possibility of their injury is high. Also, the need for more prospective research is necessary to identify as many injuries as possible for mountain Mountaineer in different fields of this developing sport
